GDS Middle Leadership Training Camp-Project Report and Closing Summary

The first "Middle-level Team Leadership Training Camp" of GDS was officially opened on July 22, 2022. Focusing on the leadership elements of "management" and "high performance", 42 middle-level managers recommended by various platforms participated in the training camp. The average age of the trainees is 40 years, and the average working year in GDS is 5.97 years. The middle-level team leadership training camp includes 5 customized courses and 5 flip classes, with a total study time of 51 hours.

The course content of the project involves enterprise management, whole process project management, team performance management, financial thinking and efficient communication. The teaching forms are flexible and diverse. And through the report of the actual leadership project and the 360° evaluation of individual leadership, the results of learning are tested as is the ability to solve practical problems.

The whole training camp lasted for 10 months. In 23 years, we ushered in two important milestones: project report and camp conclusion.

On January 12, 2023,the project report of "Middle-level Team Leadership Training Camp" was held in GDS Shanghai Senlan Office, with the participation of CEO Huang Wei, COO Jamie, heads of all first-level departments and regions, and more than 40 training camp students from all platforms of the company attended the report through several sub-venues across the country.

A group project reporting session was set up on site. Five groups, UFC, Braving the Wind and Breaking the Waves No.1, Infinite Magic, Making the world peaceful and Force Awakening, focused on the company's current and future strategic business priorities and launched a wonderful report PK. Five tutors, including Liang Yan, Chen Yilin, Xiao Li, Andy and Gordon, and on-site judges also gave constructive opinions. After the final vote, Team No.1, led by mentor Liang Yan, won the first place in the group with the report ofGuidelines for Overseas Products 2023, a guide to the arsenal of overseas business strugglers.

In the comment session, Mr. Huang shared his personal understanding of leadership. First of all, the goal setting should be very clear. Goal setting is not only a very challenging management work, but also a management art; Secondly, the implementation should be firm and powerful. Under the premise of clear goals, managers should design the best path to achieve the goals and lead the team to implement them in place; Third, we must have strong communication skills. With the development of the company, the cost of internal communication tends to be higher and higher. Managers must create a good communication platform and take enhancing communication as an important lesson to enhance their leadership.

Mr. Huang encouraged middle-level teams not only to look at the immediate things, but also to focus on the future things, and give full play to everyone's strengths around business goals, so that the whole team can form a "wooden bucket" with the most water storage. At the same time, middle-level teams are required to have the ability of "project management". Business problems are often complex system engineering, which cannot be solved by only one department. It needs to be based on the perspective of life cycle and strong cross-departmental cooperation, driven by project system, and solved by professional and diverse combat capabilities.

In May of the same year, the middle-level leadership training camp was officially closed. Through the comprehensive assessment of the whole cycle and multi-dimensions, the project selected five outstanding students, namely: Zeng Jingjie (Infinite magic), Zhen Zongya (Braving the Wind and Breaking the waves No.1), Qiao Danti (Braving the Wind and Breaking the waves No.1), Mou Yinghua (UFC) and Zuo Yiqiang (UFC). In addition, in the closing email, each student got a personalized development report about themselves, and the improvement of personal leadership will continue step by step, just as the company values "Integrity, Modesty, Diligence, Kindness, Honesty" require-diligence, self-driving, not afraid of challenges and increasing improvement.

As an important part of organizational construction, we will continue to carry out company-level leadership projects, let knowledge flow, and enhance the capabilities at all levels of the company.
