"To the south and north of my cottage there’re spring waters, the groups of gulls only are my daily visitors."The summer of July is the season when students go home and peaches and plums bear fruit. There is such a group of people who packed their luggage, packed up the memories that accompanied the university for many years, stepped out of the campus, and gathered from all corners of the country to a unified destination. That group of people is the new generation of students in the Golden Eagle Project class. " When students enter the workplace from campus, they are greeted by a brand-new journey. This is a transition from students to the workplace, a process full of challenges and opportunities. As an important part of this transformation, the "Golden Eagle Project" induction training aims to help Management Trainees adapt to the new working environment, improve their professional ability and cultivate an excellent teamwork spirit. Management Trainees will have an all-round growth opportunity and lay a solid foundation for their career. In this process, they will continue to explore, learn and grow, and become a new force in the workplace. Let's review this training journey together and witness the transformation of Management Trainees from students to the workplace.

During the training of "Golden Eagle Project", students were trained in many aspects, such as cultural integration, role recognition, business process and technical upgrading. The talent training of the Golden Eagle Project lasted for 18 months. The first stage was to empower the business foundation, discover the professional advantages of the trainees, establish the working partnership, introduce the business panorama of the data center, professional courses and role transformation of professionals. The second stage was to enter the training of engineer scenarios. The third stage was two-way matching to confirm the individual development direction, to judge the trend of talent development type for personnel, and to determine the talent allocation type of jobs and roles. From the entry instructions, organizational structure, quality and safety, professionalism to professional courses, the lecturer's teaching was professional and interesting.

During this period, we gathered the elites from the Operation and Maintenance Department and the Sales Department to hold a "Single Spark Can Start A Prairie Fire, Eagle Strike the Sky"-2023 Company-level Management Training Activity, and let everyone integrate into the workplace more quickly through team building activities, role transformation and professional development courses. During the activity, we also invited CEO MR Huang, Jamie, Jing Hao, Zhang Kejing and Yang Tao to answer questions for the students and tell their expectations. Team building activities have brought students a sense of integration. This collective activity not only deepened Management Trainee's understanding of the cultural values of GDS, such as "Integrity, Modesty, Diligence, Kindness, Honesty", but also enabled Management Trainee to have a better grasp of the company's structure and processes.

In order to better summarize and quantify their learning achievements in the training, the students reported their learning results on the final day of the training. Liang Yan, co-president of GDS China, also attended the meeting, made an evaluation of the students' report, and expressed her expectations for the future of the students. She hopes that the students will be brave enough to accept new things and challenges in their future work, put forward innovative ideas and solutions, and surpass themselves with powering ambition to face the future.

After two weeks of training, we interviewed several students and asked them what they thought and gained from this concentrated activity: He Weihao, a HVAC major from Chongqing University, said that through this training, he quickly established an overall impression of the data center in a short time, and at the same time he also had a certain understanding of the operation and maintenance of the data center and the upstream stage of its life cycle. In addition to accumulating professional knowledge and deepening professional insight, he believes young people need to broaden their horizons, jump out of the box, learn more about other professions and even other departments, and understand the nature of data center business from multiple dimensions and perspectives, so as to go further on the road of operation and maintenance practitioners.

Liu Yaxiao, a HVAC major from Harbin Institute of Technology, said, "I have changed from a student to a professional. The training course includes not only the relevant knowledge of the data center, but also the aspects of career planning, company philosophy and personality test. Through this training, I not only learned about the company's culture, business and structure, but also had a clear understanding of the data center and GDS, and I also learned more about myself, which strengthened my belief in the development of the data center industry and GDS.

Wang Zhufeng, a civil engineering major from Donghua University, said, "The content of this training is compact, which gives me a preliminary concept of company structure and data center, and understands the whole life cycle of a data center (site selection, design, construction, maintenance, operation and maintenance, etc.). Power, heat, weak electricity and fire-fighting are the four pillars to ensure the safe and stable operation of the data center, and the reserve of these majors is also the foundation for newcomers to stand and develop in the company in the future. In addition, the most important thing is to give ourselves a preliminary direction for personal career development, and let us have the goal of hard work.

"Golden Eagle Project"-Management Trainee project is an important part of GDS.
